Turmeric Ginger Molasses Cookies

Turmeric Ginger Molasses Cookies

‘Tis the season for holiday treats! And treats we have for you :)

…But not to worry, they are healthier holiday treats because who wants to feel bad about indulging in everything that comes with the holiday season? I sure don’t, and I am sure you don’t either. That is why I came up with these super tasty Golden Ginger Molasses Cookies.

Golden Ginger Molasses Cookies

Time: 20 minutes
Yield: 2 dozen baby cookies

Here is What You’ll Need

1/4 cup softened butter or ghee
1/4 cup coconut sugar
2 tablespoons molasses
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup packed fine almond flour
1/3 cup cassava flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
2 teaspoons Stay Golden Herbal Powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
Sugar for rolling, if desired

Here is What You’ll Do

1. Preheat oven to 350°
2. Whisk together butter. coconut sugar, molasses, egg, and vanilla extract until well incorporated.
3. Add in almond flour, cassava flour, baking soda, Stay Golden Herbal Powder, and salt. Beat together until it comes together. It will be a bit more moist than traditional cookie dough.
4. Let dough rest about 3-5 minutes, this slightly firms it. Take about a ping-pong ball size (maybe even a little smaller) or the dough and roll it into a ball, dip it in sugar if desired, then place on un-greased cookie sheet about 2 inches apart. Place in oven and bake about 10 minutes.
5. Let them cool slightly on cookie sheet before removing them onto a cooling rack. Serve warm.
