Waking up and having a super nourishing meal for breakfast can honestly make the difference in a good or bad day. We don’t like bad days very much around here, so we stick to good days with ultra nourishing breakfasts to keep us going strong all day long!
Our Stay Golden Oatmeal recipe is just that… full of deliciousness, and all the things to keep you satisfied and feeling full till it’s time to eat again. And not only that, it has some very supportive herbs in it as well - turmeric, ginger, cardamom, black pepper and stevia are all supportive to digestive health in a big way! And Gotu Kola and Ashwagandha help to calm the nervous system and support a regulation of stress hormones, you really can't go wrong starting your day off like that!!
Stay Golden Overnight Oats
Yield: 1 serving
Time: Overnight; 15 minutes
Here’s What You’ll Need
1/2 cup of rolled oats
1 cup of water or your choice of milk
2 scoops of collagen powder (optional boost of beauty & protein)
1 tbsp sweetener (honey, maple syrup, coconut nectar, date syrup)
1/8 tsp vanilla extract
1 heaping tsp of Stay Golden - Golden Milk Herbal Powder
Pinch of Himalayan Pink salt
1/4 cup of all your favorite toppings (cacao nibs, walnuts, coconut flakes, etc.)
Fruit to serve.
Here is What You’ll Do
1. The night before planning to eat, place oats, milk, and salt in fridge overnight in a closed container (mason jars work well).
2. In the morning, take oats mixture out of fridge and place into a small pot on medium heat. Add in Stay Golden Powder, collagen, sweetener of choice, and vanilla extract. Mix until well incorporated.
3. Continuing to mix intermittently, turning heat to medium-low for about 5-10 more minutes. When the oatmeal has come to your preferred consistency (the longer it cooks the creamier it gets), pour into a bowl. Top with your favorite toppings and fruits and enjoy!
