Another delicious recipe coming at ya!
I’ve been experimenting with shelf-stable, nourishing and energizing snacks to keep me going through the afternoons and into the evenings as I have been working a lot lately!
I started thinking about my favorite snack:
ALMONDS
I love almonds because they truly are the perfect little snack, they have a solid amount of healthy fats, and enough protein and carbs to satisfy any of my cravings.
…and then started thinking about my favorite afternoon pick-me-up:
MATCHA-CHA
Ceremonial-grade, organic matcha blended with orange peel for delicious flavor and enhanced antioxidant absorption + blood sugar regulation + the amazing caffeine kick
and after a brief and glorious daydream of almonds and Matcha-cha, it hit me… WHY DON’T I MARRY THESE TWO?!… So obviously I had to start playing around.
I ended up making one of the tastiest, energizing and perfectly satisfying snacks I have made in quite some time… Enjoy the recipe!
Matcha-Cha Covered Almonds
Serves: 1 cup
Time: 15 minutes
Here is What You’ll Need
1 cup raw almonds
2 tsp raw honey
1/2 tsp Matcha-Cha
Salt to taste
Here’s What You’ll Do
1. Preheat oven to 375°F
2. Spread almonds onto parchment covered baking sheet. Place in oven for 5 minutes.
3. Remove sheet from oven and place almond into a bowl along with 2 tsp of honey. Mix until almonds are evenly covered. Spread almonds evenly onto parchment covered baking sheet and bake for 9 more minutes.
4. Remove from oven and place almonds back into bowl along with Matcha-Cha and salt (I used about 1/8 ts salt). Mix until almonds looked well coated in the Matcha-Cha mixture.
5. Either enjoy instantly or place almonds into sealed container - mason jars work well - and store in the refrigerator for your net afternoon snack!
Big love,
Joey
