Ch-ch-ch-CHIA! Choco-Chia Seed Pudding that is! Enjoy this decadent and nourishing meal at anytime of day for a boost of sustainable energy and long-lasting satiety!
Let’s talk chia seeds! This nutrient-dense powerhouse is a fantastic addition to the diet because the seeds are full of protein (a complete protein, with all 9 amino acids!!), healthy fats, soluble fiber, vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. We get a huge boost of omega 3 fatty acids when we consume chia seeds, meaning they help to support cardiovascular health, reduce inflammation and strengthen cells. Chia seeds are also a great tool when trying to regulate blood sugar levels, they are the perfect way to avoid sugar highs and lows.
Wondering why your chia seeds are slimy? Chia seeds contain a component called mucilage. Mucilage is naturally occurring in some plants, and often it is a core reason why these plants are medicinal. This slimy component can help to support digestive health because this mucilage helps to build integrity in the lining of the gut wall...
