Simple Homemade Holistic Face Masks

If you haven’t already gathered, we love all things natural, holistic, and healthy. And that not only includes the things we put in our body, but on it as well. What’s really cool about natural, clean products is they can typically be used for both.

We’ve put together three easy DIY face masks that will leave your skin smooth,
hydrated, and clear. All the ingredients are clean and actually good for you! And the best part is:
If you’ve already got your WSW herbal powders in your pantry, you’re halfway there!

Before we jump into the recipes, here are a few of the health and beauty benefits of the ingredients we used.

BENEFITS OF RAW HONEY:
Honey is anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial, which means it promotes clean, healthy skin and prevents acne. Plus, when it’s 100% pure and raw, it’s a great exfoliator. Yes, please.

BENEFITS OF YOGURT:
Yogurt is cooling and soothing for the skin. It hydrates, softens, and helps to prevent breakouts. Some research even shows yogurt helps to reduce wrinkles and signs of aging.

BENEFITS OF ALOE VERA:
Aloe vera has been a fan favorite throughout history. With it’s anti-inflammatory, hydrating, and healing properties, it’s no wonder aloe is in so many cosmetic products.

BENEFITS OF LEMON JUICE:
Lemon juice is powerful! You only need a small squeeze to experience the brightening, cleansing, and toning effects it has on your skin. Add lemon juice to your face mask to reduce pigmentation and get that fresh, clean feel.

BENEFITS OF ROSEWATER:
Rosewater is commonly used in Ayurveda skincare and beauty regimens. It helps your skin maintain a healthy pH balance, and the anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial properties reduce redness, acne, psoriasis, and other skin issues.

BENEFITS OF AVOCADO:
Avocados are full of fatty acids that support healthy, soft skin. Research has shown that avocados reduce signs of aging and accelerate wound healing. They also provide important vitamins and minerals which, when applied directly to the face, give your skin that fresh, dewey look.

BENEFITS OF OUR HERBAL POWDERS:

It’s a running list, really. Each herbal powder that we offer is a unique blend of powerful plants that promote health and well-being from the inside out. The ingredients are purposefully used together to enhance one another’s medicinal properties. They’re anti-inflammatory, adaptogenic, and altogether rooted in wellness. By consuming them as tasty drinks AND incorporating them into your skincare routine, you’re getting double the goodness.

Without further ado, here are three face masks you can make at home today!

INSTRUCTIONS:
With each one, mix ingredients until blended into a thick paste. You may need to adjust the measurements of each ingredient to make the perfect amount of thickness for your own preference. Apply mask evenly on clean face, keeping out of the eyes. Leave on for about 10 minutes, then wipe off with a clean, warm washcloth.
