3 Ways to Do YOU in 2019

Well folks, 2018 has come and gone so quickly! As we welcome in 2019 with open arms, it is a wonderful time to reflect on the past year and make goals for the year ahead. Here at Wild Sun Wellness, we are all about self-care, taking care of you comes first because if you’re not in good condition, you really can’t be of service to others. Putting “New Year’s Resolutions” aside (we all know those only last about 20 days…), get yourself into a practice or a ritual that you do for YOU!

Here are 3 ways to DO YOU in 2019:

  1. Do one thing every day that makes you feel good in your head
    Your headspace is one of the most important spaces you have - do everything in your power to nurture and grow that! And let me tell you, there are TONS of ways to do this, if meditation isn’t your style, grab a journal and jot down your feelings, maybe spend some time at the Float Spa, decompressing and letting your mind be still. Take that yoga class you’ve been meaning to get to, or take your friend up on that Sound Healing Gong Bath! Whatever it may be, do something every day, even for just 5 minutes, to clear that headspace and just be. You will be glad you did.

  2. Do one thing every day that makes you feel good in your body
    This can be so much more than getting over to the gym or that pilates class you signed up for, sure that always make you feel really fantastic in your body, but balance is key when it comes to this department. Give your body a break sometimes and pamper it - don’t be afraid to go to the spa sometimes, get a massage, do a breath technique, take a relaxing bath, look at yourself in the mirror and tell yourself something positive, take a scenic hike. Whatever it is, do one thing every day that makes you feel good in your body.

  3. Do one thing every day that creates a feeling of gratitude
    Gratitude has been studied for years and the findings are astonishing. A small daily practice of gratitude can increase self-esteem, boost careers, create happiness and overall optimism, it has even been known to improve both physical and psychological health. In my opinion, it makes a person more resilient and creates pathways for that person to do better in every area of their life. So why not practice gratitude daily? You can do it however it fits in your life, write 3 things a day in a notebook, find a “gratitude partner” and share something you are grateful for with each other daily, do some self talk in the mirror, really, anything you can think of, just remember to do it! You will slowly start seeing small shifts and changes in your every day life that directly correlate with your daily practice.
