These Loco Cocoa PB Krispies are the perfect little treat. They are full of nourishing, simple ingredients that pack some solid plant protein, healthy fats, complex carbs, and brain boosting energy! The best part is, they take 20 minutes to whip up, you toss 'em in the freezer and they're ready within 30 minutes... Check out the recipe below:
Here is What You'll Need
For the Bottom
- 1 1/2 cup natural peanut butter (or your choice of nut butter)
- 1/3 cup maple syrup or Raw Honey
- 1 Tbsp Loco Cocoa Herbal Powder
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1/3 cup Hemp Seeds
- 3 cups Brown Rice Puffs
If nut butter is unsalted, add in 1/8 tsp salt
For the Top
- 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips (We love stevia sweetened Lily's)
- 1 heaping Tbsp peanut butter (or your choice of nut butter)
- 2 tsp Loco Cocoa Herbal Powder
Here is What You'll Do
Mix peanut butter, Loco Cocoa, vanilla extract and maple syrup/ honey until well combined and smooth. Next, mix in the hemp seeds and rice puffs until fully combined.
Pat down into a lined glass dish, 9x9 works well.
For the chocolate topping, place chocolate, peanut butter, and Loco Cocoa in a double boiler. Mix until fully melted, then pour over the patted down PB Krispie mix and spread evenly across.
Freeze for about 30 minutes, then cut and serve or store in freezer!
