Happy Thanksgiving all! This is such a great day to recognize and acknowledge the things in life we that we have been blessed with.
I thought it only fitting to share with you all a little list of things I am thankful for everyday, but a little extra today :)
Family has always been a huge part of my life. Between my parents, brothers, sisters, and extended family, I have learned so much about love, life and support through them. We are all so tight-knit and can depend on each other for anything and everything. I feel so blessed and thankful for each and every one of my family members.
My friends are vital to my wellbeing. Allowing myself to cultivate relationships with unique individuals and share experiences, thoughts and emotions has been so important in the self-growth I have been working on for the past couple of years.
Yoga is my soul medicine. Through the practice of this ancient art, I have learned incredible amounts about myself, the human body, the mind, and other beings. This practice has given me a perspective on life and relationships to other beings that I otherwise would have never had. Through yoga, I have met people who have shown me and helped me to understand what yoga truly is and how the connection to oneself can provide so much abundance to life. I am so thankful for that.
4. Earth and Nature
The answer to all of my troubles is always to get some sun and fresh air. Spending 2 years learning in depth the wonders of plant medicine and all the earth has to offer us as guests through our journeys here on Earth. I love to take a moment to really appreciate how incredible nature is. We are provided, by the Earth, all we need to thrive. All of the fancy chemical reactions that go on daily without much thought by us humans continue to keep the working for us, with us.
5. Holistic Community
The community I have been graciously welcomed into in the past couple of years has completely shifted and transformed my life. Being surrounded by like-minded people who constantly bring me up has had an incredible impact on my goals and aspirations. I am constantly inspired by these incredible people with their innovative and progressive ways of supporting and helping others live their best life. Here are some extremely inspirational companies and people that have impacted me... Kinfolk Chiropractic, Balunsd, Mindful Ascension Yoga, Desert Sage Herbs, High Vibe Lifestyles, Moksha Yoga, Movement Restoration, Southwest Institute of Healing Arts, Spirit of Yoga, Olivespa.
If we are being real, everyone and everything is a teacher for me. I learn from each experience I have, whether it be a true learning opportunity or just a small conflict or argument that I can take in, reflect upon and change or react in a different way the next time something similar comes up. But when it comes to my actual teachers, I am so super thankful. My mentor, Brittney, has taught me so much more than I ever could have imagined I would know about herbal medicine and seeing clients. She is always pushing me forward to be the best herbalist/ herbal clinician I can be, and for that I am so thankful. Then I have my yoga teacher, Sean, who has taught me so much about yoga philosophy and relating to everything/one around me and applying it not only to my yoga practice on the mat, but off the mat as well.
And last, but not least, I am thankful for health, the health of all of those I mentioned above and of course myself. Taking a moment to recognize how lucky I am that mostly every person in my life is healthy, happy and doing well. And then looking at how lucky I am for having the ability to move my entire body in any way I want and how lucky I am for having a brain that works well and a body that allows me to create, evolve and grow into my best possible self.
For all of these things I am incredibly thankful. I am also incredibly thankful for all of you, thank you all so much for your continued support, love and curiosity in what I have to share <3
Happy Thanksgiving my friends!
Forever spreading love and shining light,
